MODULAR RANGES
MoST 5 & MoST 10
MODULAR SHOOTING RANGES
MoST Modular Shooting Ranges are indoor ranges with 100% round containment. They are designed for every type of shooting distance, exercise, and training performed within fixed or tactical firing lines. They enable practice and training in any location all year long, regardless of the weather conditions. The ranges are made of steel modules, delivered to your chosen location and fastened together after placing them on a flat surface or secure footings. The modular design allows for speedy installations. Most ranges can be ready for shooting in 30-60 days. Additionally, the facility can be disassembled and relocated to another place if needed. This creates more value to the customer by increasing your ability to resell the range if your needs change in the future. This also makes it easier to obtain financing for your project.
MoST SERIES
Specifications
MoST shooting ranges are offered in two different series based on width. The Most-5 is a 5 meter wide range and the MoST-10 is a 10 meter wide range. The length of your personalized range will be customized to accommodate your budget and training needs. Common range lengths are 25, 50, 100, and 200 meters long. Custom lengths are no problem, we simply add or subtract the interchangeable modules to suit your needs.
Technical solutions and the construction of the facility follows standard range guidelines:
- Ballistic safety – there is no possibility for the fired rounds to escape the range facility and provides conditions for using ammunition up to .50 caliber.
- The highest quality indoor air, the MoST HVAC system filters out 99.95% of all contaminates.
- External environment protection against dust contaminate discharge –emission of dust to the environment is nearly eliminated completely.
- Protection against noise transfer– external noise level within a 5-mile radius from the shooting range does not exceed 55 dB(A),
- Energy savings – the air conditioning ventilation system utilizes advanced energy savings technology.
MoST RANGE CONSTRUCTION & DESIGN
Most Shooting Range Construction and Design
MoST shooting ranges are constructed of the subsequent modules:
- logistics module
- communication module
- shooting stalls module
- shooting modules
- bullet trap module
- ventilation module
The modules that may be exposed to bullet impact are made up of welded frame construction. They are cladded with armor plate and are impervious to bullet penetration. The shooting range modules are delivered separately to the chosen site. A flat or solid base is required in order to fasten the modules together. All of the modules are fitted with insulated panels to provide an efficient thermal environment. The shooting range parts and equipment are pre-fabricated specifically for your range making installation quick and painless. Once the power supply is hooked up, you’re ready to start shooting.
Logistics module
The logistics module is the master control room used to manage all activity in the range. The range master operates from here with monitors to observe all shooting range operations. The range functions (HVAC, targetry, lighting, sound systems, etc.) are controlled from this command post. This module is equipped with armored doors, class RC-4, in the external wall as well as in the logistic module and communication module. The window consists of double paned hardened glass (class P4). There are also class 1 devices to store weapons and ammunition.
The equipment in the logistic module can be customized to meet your needs.
Communication module
The communication module, or transition module, is the space directly behind the shooting stalls. This is the area where shooters enter and exit the range. The “Air Wall” is located directly behind the shooter’s stalls in this area and supplies a constant flow of fresh laminar air to the firing range.
Shooting posts module
Each shooting stall is equipped with folding benches, individual lighting, and IP cameras. The lane dividers are removeable if you need space for specific types of training. Each lane also has a local control screen for individual targetry control. Anti-ricochet panels are used everywhere possible to maximize safety.
Shooting modules
The quantity of individual shooting modules will determine your range length. Each module is roughly 8’ in length. (2.5m) The interior is fitted with anti-ricochet ballistic panels, creating a safe environment and encapsulating any errant or accidental rounds. Mobile bullet traps and tactical walls can be used in this space for active tactical training.
Bullet trap module
The bullet trap module consists of the granular bullet trap itself and is also where the dirty range air is exhausted to the filtration system. The bullet trap can safely encapsulate up to 100 thousand rounds before maintenance is required.
Ventilation module
The ventilation equipment is staged behind the bullet trap and is housed in two standard modules. High efficiency HEPA filters (H13) are utilized to capture 99.95% of air contaminates. The filters clean the indoor range air as well as the air that is discharged from the range which is environmentally friendly. Aside from these filters, the air-supply-extraction unit (provides fresh air) uses a two-step heat recovery system. This solution provides a significant energy efficient system for all seasons. The fully automated system maintains constant required air pressure and temperature year-round.
CAR MODULE
If your training requires the use of vehicles, modules equipped with doors can be provided as an option. This allows vehicle of many sizes to be driven into the range and used during training.
